Because a Detacher Alone Shouldn't Be Enough.
Traditional hard tags can be vulnerable when unauthorized individuals gain access to stolen or counterfeit detachers. Edge's patented DeArm™ technology is designed to address this weakness by adding a required deactivation step before the tag can be unlocked.
The DeArm Hard Tag must first be disarmed using an appropriate AM or RF deactivator. Only after deactivation can the tag be unlocked with a compatible detacher.
This added layer of protection helps retailers maintain greater control over merchandise security while keeping authorized checkout procedures straightforward.
